A Message from the Board of Trustees
Building a Stronger, more responsive Mosquito Control Program
Over the past several years, it has become clear that the level of customer service provided has not met the standards our community expects and deserves. Phone calls have at times gone unanswered, the quality of mosquito control has declined, and resident concerns have not always received the attention they merit. Communication and transparency—particularly regarding program activities and financial management—have also fallen short.
Many residents, understandably frustrated, have turned to private mosquito control companies to enjoy their outdoor spaces comfortably. However, we all recognize that much of the work being done privately should rightfully be handled by the public agency entrusted with mosquito control—an agency that is funded by the taxes our community pays. This situation underscores the need for change.
The Board of Trustees has taken decisive action to address these concerns and restore confidence in our operations. Meaningful improvements are already underway, and we are pleased to announce the development of a revitalized mosquito control program for the 2026 season. This new program will emphasize higher service standards, greater accountability, and open communication with residents and local authorities.

Your Involvement is Needed and Matters
As we move forward, we invite members of the community to take an active role in shaping the future of our mosquito control efforts.
- Do you know of a mosquito breeding source on or near your property that should be addressed?
- Are there areas, trails, or ponds that have received treatment in the past but may need renewed attention?
- Would you consider serving on the Board of Trustees, the Budget Committee or another Committee, to help guide these improvements?
- Do you have suggestions or feedback—from customer service to treatment practices or fogging routes—that could help us do better?
Your input and participation are vital as we work to build a program that is effective, transparent, and truly responsive to the needs of our community. Together, we can ensure a safer, healthier, and more enjoyable outdoor environment for everyone.
